Form 15-C · Privacy

Everyone receives their own page.

Zero has read none of the others. Here is exactly what this website remembers, where, and why.

No tracking cookies.

This site sets no tracking cookies and loads no advertising trackers. There is no account, no sign-up and nothing to connect. The small form that appears on your first visit is not a consent banner in disguise: it is a notice, and a joke about biscuits.

Counting visits

We count visits with Google Analytics 4. Until you answer Form 15-C, it runs without cookies: it learns that a page was opened, not who opened it. Say Noted and it sets one first-party cookie (_ga, two years) so it can tell a return visit from a new one; say Not the counting and it stays cookieless. Either way: no advertising features, no names, nothing sold, and we see only totals. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is loaded at all.

Google receives the request as any web request does; its own note is at policies.google.com. Along with page views we count a few of the Bureau's own moments: a number taken, a room opened, a door knocked on, a notice pinned, the One found, the end of the roll. Each is a name and a count, never a person.

What stays on your device

A few things are kept in your browser's local storage so the desk remembers you between visits. They never leave your device and we cannot see them:

Clear your browser's site data and all of it is gone. The Bureau will hand you a new number without comment.

What the site loads from elsewhere

The typeface General Sans is served by Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry). Your browser requests it from api.fontshare.com, which sees your IP address as any web request does. The analytics script comes from googletagmanager.com and reports to google-analytics.com, as above. Everything else on the site is served from our own host.

What you send to the Bureau, if you choose to

Three things travel to our own host, each only when you press the button that sends it, and each carrying your ticket number and nothing else about you:

These are kept in the Bureau's own store, without addresses or timestamps that could identify you. Whatever you do not send stays on your device, as above.

Pictures you download

Cards, notices and stickers are drawn in your browser and saved straight to your device. Nothing is uploaded.

If this changes

Before anything on this page changes, this page changes first, in the same plain words.
